Research recently released by real estate agency Knight Frank has demonstrated that waterfront properties globally attract 40 per cent more than inland properties within the same suburb.
Not surprisingly Perth actually demonstrated a far greater premium with waterfront properties, reflecting a 53.2% price differential, rating third globally just behind Sydney and the Gold Coast.
The report went on to identify that even in market downturns waterfront properties remained in demand and at premium prices due to their position and scarcity.
This in turn instils confidence in buyers with their future exit strategy if they need to sell.
At Norup + Wilson we certainly recognise the value of picturesque water views and hence all three of our projects offers this advantage to our buyers.
The Precinct overlooks the Swan River in Mt Pleasant, The Crest at Burswood also maximises the views across the Swan River and of course The Beach Shack has uninterrupted views of the Scarborough coastline.
Plus all of these projects are in precincts undergoing significant refurbishment.
In the last 12 months alone, median property prices in Mt Pleasant have leaped 21% and Burswood a massive 28% (source REIWA) and we predict that this trend will only continue upwards.
